Every chapter's rush program is the lifeblood of the Fraternity. Rush is what brings young men into the chapter and it's what will ensure that the chapter will exist long after others graduate. It is also one of the most competitive activities among the fraternities on campus.
Every member of the chapter should be involved in the execution of the rush program. Every active should always be providing names and information of men who they think are potential Pikes. Everyone should attend all rush functions and give their input to the rush committee.
Simply stated, rush is a process of making friends and then including them in the chapter. Every chapter's rush program should be active. The rush process is not limited to just the times when school is in session, but yet it should be a year-round effort by the whole chapter, new members should be recruited at all times.
Our chapter is encouraged to work hard to rush the most quality men so that we remain the top fraternity on campus. A successful rush program translates into a better and more enjoyable experience for everyone.
A formal rush program was just recently instituted here at Angelo State, and has worked well in conjunction with the informal rush still being used. Pi Kappa Alpha remains as the top fraternity on campus here, and year after year comes away with the most numbers, both in quality and quantity. Should you decide to go through rush we would be more than happy to introduce you to Greek life and all of its rewards. We also encourage you to check out the other fraternities on campus also before making your choice, but we are confident you will come back to us.
